Let the Lord renew your mind in truth
Hey Queen!
It’s me again. It’s been three weeks since the last blog post. Can I be real with you as to why?
Sis, I’ve been going THROUGH it emotionally/spiritually. I mean the devil has been BUSY child! I noticed that every since I started to take ministry more seriously, the devil has been throwing fiery darts in every direction. For a while I was down, I was moping around feeling discouraged and defeated.
But then I remembered who I am in Christ and decided to fight back! The Holy Spirit reminded me of my true identity not the identity that the devil was trying to use to keep me feeling powerless. You see, the devil wanted me to see myself through the lens of trauma.Through the lens of my past. He wanted me to focus on my shortcomings, my imperfections. He was feeding me all these lies that started to make me feel emotionally distressed. He wanted me to be isolated with all of those negative thoughts and memories in an effort to steal my joy, steal my peace and steal my mind!
I share this with you as encouragement. If you find yourself going through the same experience I want you to know that you are not alone! There is hope in Christ Jesus. Your mind can be renewed.
I encourage you to cry out to Jesus, ask him to help you see yourself the way that he sees you. Ask him to help you to renew your mind in Christ.
Meditate on Romans 12:2
If necessary, speak with a licensed Christian therapist that you trust and ask for help with identifying the negative thoughts that are keeping you emotionally distressed.
Most importantly, I want you to know that you are loved, and there is no shame in what you may be experiencing.
Remember Queen, you do not have to walk this journey alone. Let me hold your hand and walk with you as we both follow Christ
Until next time, take care!
Key Verse: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” — Romans 12:2
